Broad Street Park is one of the oldest sections of the Township of Hamilton, Mercer County, New Jersey. It is an area consisting of the environs of South Broad Street to the bluffs overlooking Spring Lake and the marshes of John A. Roebling Park. It is a primarily residential neighborhood. The Township's first fire company was organized there and the Township's original police station was located there for many years. Postings from Deutzville and Fairview Park are included.

On My Soapbox
I'm posting this after reading Tom Glover's article on Woodlawn Park in today's Times. The bane of local historians is as Tom says: 'that old box with junk in it, up in the attic", that gets put out on the curb. If you are a regular visitor to this blog, you are interested in local history. Therefore, I implore you (and remind your family and friends) to save and donate to your local library those old pictures or memorabilia that may seem worthless but in reality are priceless.
