Rusling Hose Company's 1920 Stutz Fire Apparatus

The Fire District 3 Board of Fire Commissioners authorized the signing of a purchase agreement with the Stutz Fire Engine Company on April 22, 1920. A 600 gallon per minute pumper was delivered on Tuesday, August 24, 1920. It was given the Underwriters test the same day before being turned over to the Hose Company. The Underwriters were assisted by Howard Story, factory representative for New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania, and Robert Martin, a factory mechanic who spent 10 days with Rusling Hose Company members instructing them on the operation of their new apparatus.
