1913: White City Hotel

Scuttlebutt is that the hotel was not of good reputation, thus, the revocation of its license. The time needed to get the hotel operational mentioned in the last paragraph may have had something to do with its demise. since we don't hear of the hotel after this time. This is speculation and only speculation.

    WEAVER--At Verdun, France, September 26, 1918, Frank H, son of Mr and Mrs William H Weaver, in the 31st year of his age. The relatives of the family, also Blue and Gray post No 104, American Legion, are invited to attend the funeral from the residence of his father, No 510 Bridge Street, on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
