1898: The Trolley and Streets

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION

This is an The Way We Were column written by renowned local historian Tom Glover and published in the Mercer Messenger in 1984. It is invaluable information describing another aspect of BSP development. Click on the article to read and note the Park Hotel on the left side of the photograph. A gasoline station stood on the site for many years after the demise of the hotel. Today the site is a municipal parking lot for local shoppers. If anyone is able to share information on the hotel, it would be greatly appreciated.
