Wesley Gibbs' concrete plant was located at Buchanan and McClellan Avenues. A building on the site measured 300 feet long and 100 feet wide. It is surmised that the site which consisted of 5,000 sq. ft occupied the corner which later became part of the area of the White City Amusement Park. Much of the residential construction in BSP in the early part of the 20th century utilized concrete blocks. Gibbs, who constructed a number of concrete blocks homes, supplied himself and other contractors. UPDATE: This enterprise was located on McClellan Avenue between Buchanan and Rowan Avenues, not on the corner of Buchanan and McClellan.
