Houses, Not Apartments
Pictured are houses on Vicky Court which runs off of McClellan Avenue. The owners of this land once occupied by the White City Amusement Park sought a variance from the single family permitted use to construct apartments in 1953. The variance was denied and after the courts refused to overturn the township's decision, the owners developed the land according to the permitted use in the mid and late 1950s. If you look very closely between the "v" formed by the houses rooflines, you will see a porion of the White City Mansion.
