1909: The Lake at White City

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION

Spring Lake was also an attraction in addition to the amusement rides at White City Amusement Park. Patrons could rent boats to venture onto the lake. It has been reported that vendors set up stands to sell their wares on the roads that bordered the lake. It has been alleged that vendors also set up along the sides of Harrison Avenue to entice Park attendees as they walked down the street to the entrance to the Park after departing the trolley at South Broad Street.
