1907: White City Park Evolves

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION

The Park at Broad Street evolved from a place of passive recreation to one of entertainment attractions and eventually into a full scale amusement park known as the White City Amusement Park. Note: A helter-skelter is an amusement park ride with a slide built in a spiral around a high tower. Users climb up inside the tower and slide down the outside, usually on a mat. Luna Park Amusement Park was at Coney Island, NYC.
