1895: Broad Street Park M.E. Church Dedicated

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY LOCAL HISTORY COLLECTION

This is the first church in Broad Street Park. The congregation was organized in 1894. General James F. Rusling and William H. Rusling donated four lots at South Broad Street and Buchanan Avenues as the site of the new church. Construction of the church began August 15, 1894 by E.S. Willey and Bro. The church was opened for worship March 3, 1895. The dedication took place in May of that year.
